Turning A Negative Into A Positive

Daily writing prompt
What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

Negativity is all around because that’s what we allow. We allow people to bother us, we allow people to belittle us, we allow that entity that we don’t need around us, to enter. That’s the major problem, we can’t focus on ourselves the way we should while focusing on others in a way that benefits us all. If you can’t do that simply focus on yourself. Focusing on yourself brings ease because now you know somewhere in life if there is a mess up, you know where it came from. Only you can change you in any way.

Negative feelings truly don’t bother me in certain aspects because I know what I am capable of and how to maneuver around it. My escape is to put those things into writing, in a way where someone else can learn a lesson from the mistakes I made, or almost made. This turns a bit of my negative into a positive because I know if I didn’t do it right for myself, I did it right for somebody else. That’s the force of my push. Now, spiritually, I cope with negative thoughts differently. I tend to try and fix what I foresee happening before it actually happens. I’ve rarely had a moment when listening to my spirit goes back to bite me. I’ve been in plenty of instances where this could have happened, but I said or did this and now there is a change of scenery, or the people who are supposed to be connected, are usually connected through me.

To sum it all up, writing and being in touch with my spiritual side is how I cope with “negative things”. I don’t really consider negative feelings to be a bad thing, it’s more of a warning and time to learn. What you didn’t do then, you won’t allow to happen the next time around.
