Many of us in this generation including kids go straight to our electronics as a first for everything. We don’t realize how much technology has overtaken our lives. That said, upon the many projects I have been working on, sometimes it is always good for more insight and help, writers get writer’s block too. I have created a chat that forces us all to work, hearing and seeing one another work provides nothing but space and opportunity for us to work together. In this day in age, technology has taken over everything we do. How do you wake up in the morning? An alarm. How do you check the weather? You’re phone, nobody watches the news anymore. We go outside, stand for a bit and say “Oh it’s okay to wear this.” When in contact with others, we use social media to present information of all sorts with technology. My point is, to turn using technology into a valuable source.
I noticed that a lot of the people I keep around me have a goal similar to mine, and they do say it is positive to hang around others with a similar goal. Why? One hand washes the other, seeing others work so hard should make you want to work, because you’re listening, and watching others in depth with their work. This is where having a great group chat came into play with me, the more people that join watch how closely we work with one another, making sure each other has the proper material needed to finish whatever it is we are working on. We took the good use out of technology instead of what it actually is doing, which is separating people from one another by certain apps that lure you in to watch or use all day, forgetting about anything else you may have done. That’s what technology is originally for, to throw humans off on everything. I paid full attention when I noticed someone still reading the news from a paper, still had a flip-phone, and was perfectly fine with that. That is the way we should be living, technology became a use for everything. The doctor told you to do one thing, but you’re still going to google what it means, and your own remedy.
Nevertheless, as I stated before, creating a group chat with a lot of people who had similar goals became a great norm because every day somebody is ringing the chat like “Check this out,” or one is working on something and it gave you an idea for something completely different. It forces motivation upon one another. I can honestly say that this group chat has helped the improvement within myself. I no longer drag events, blogs, and college work. You know why? Not because my phone rings, itโs the ambition we wake up with each morning. The dates/link ups, the discord meetings, everything is more manageable. Itโs okay to ask for guidance. Voyage magazine asked for my story, and I gave them what I went through to get here, and what keeps me going. Readers like YOU!
