RESPONSE TO: “How do you waste the most time every day?”

Daily writing prompt
How do you waste the most time every day?

Come here for a second, see the problem with today’s generation, and even the older in most cases is, they don’t know how to mind their business. When I say this, I say it because life goes a lot smoother when you just focus on yourself. I’ve taken time to analyze the reason why I’m not where I want to be in life, which was because I was so busy focusing on others and making sure they were okay, the question is who did that for me? Now, I don’t mean for people to take offense, because I did have, and still do, a great support system. However, that is the mindset you have to have in general. Now, this may not apply to me specifically, it could be a general post. You can’t always save the world, and that’s what I tell most people who stress over other people’s issues, now their issues have now become yours because you choose to take on that job. There is no one else to blame, but yourself.

Take a second and just think about everything you’ve been through, a lot of the things involve helping someone else, even things that are uncontrollable like betrayal. Imagine where you would be today if you just focused on yourself, and your growth. It’s not being selfish, it’s being considerate of yourself. Yes, you have to put yourself first, or you’ll never be happy. There’s nothing wrong with helping others because that’s how you learn a lot in the process of life. Not everything is bad, to be honest, how do you think you find your true love? You were probably helping them out of a bad situation, bad doesn’t have to mean terrible. Let’s take a look at tv shows and movies we watched, or that come out that somehow portray real-life events. Manifest shows an example of true love. The story is based on a plane that landed in the future, which allowed the passengers to see what their life would look like in the future. One of the passengers ended up finding her true love by saving him out of a cold iceberg, with that being said, it was a life lesson learned from the person who was saved. That person was given a second chance at life, and the privilege to know that they are not alone, with that being given, he gave his true love a beautiful wedding. Love comes in all shapes and forms, just like “bad”. When I say this, I mean bad comes in all shapes and sizes, but isn’t necessarily “bad”. Minding your business all the time isn’t bad, we just happen to come across things in life, but if you know you can’t handle a situation, it’s not always your business to take on that situation. This goes back to what I said earlier about how now that issue is now yours. Basically, everything would be a lot better if you wasted time focusing on yourself, instead of minding other people’s business. Learn more here!
