Everyone thinks that a gift has to cost money and that it has to be valuable in some way shape, or form. What about meaningful? Ever heard of “It’s the thought that counts,”? The most meaningful gift given to me was the gift of life. Every day we commit some form of sin. Waking up the next morning is a sign of forgiveness, and that’s what many people fail to realize.
When I do something, it’s out of the kindness of my heart, we know this is how I founded Literaturebyjessc, with my kind heart. That said, being gifted in life makes me feel obligated in some way shape, or form to help someone else. I always say I am the force behind the push to another person whose predicament could be worse than mine but who looks up to me. When a homeless person asks for money, the first thing people think is “They’re going for something they don’t need,” if you can read between the lines. Lemme explain something to you, I’ve been there before. I’ve walked the streets, sat up late in parks, and had my clothes stolen by a shelter, so I understand. There are ways to flip a situation. I stopped carrying money, but I’ll always make a way. One day I took a homeless man for food, and all he wanted was somebody to talk to, I sat and thought to myself “Damn when I was going through this”, I had no one, so to be able to reciprocate the love I wanted was amazing, I felt good inside.
I recently got my hair retwisted and saw someone I know walk in to give me one thing. It was the thought that counts, and because I’m such an open spirit person, I attract energy. I locked eyes instantly with a barber and had him give that person a haircut. It felt good to make someone feel good about themselves for a change, it also felt good doing it while treating myself. I never look down on anyone because tomorrow isn’t promised, so if this is the life I’m destined to live, it was the greatest gift ever. Love always, a SmrtGrl. 💜🩷💚💛
