There are many definitions of love, If I gave you one definition, I would be completely wrong. A Valentine doesn’t have to be a spouse or lover, it can be a friend or best friend. Love is often associated with Valentine’s Day, but the image can sometimes be misconstrued. To love someone, you must love yourself to know how to treat someone, and what they expect in return. How does it feel to love yourself? You wake up with a heart so pure, filled with joy, you feel positive, you want to do for others. This is what loving yourself consists of.
To love someone else comes with the understanding of where they came from to where they’re going. That has a heavy impact on the person you’re loving, it makes them feel secure in a way. To be honest, this situation applies to friendships and relationships. How you love can be different from someone else, maybe I love hard and like to ensure you have everything you WANTED, or maybe I loved you hard enough to ensure you had everything you NEEDED, understand the difference. So when we go to define love, to many it means different things, to others it means nothing, but to me, it’s the smallest things that matter the most. When I say small things, I mean becoming a member of the Smrtgrlzclub, I mean a hug when you didn’t even notice I needed it the most, I mean being the loudest supporter in the room and expecting nothing in return. These are some of the ways I love.
To me, Love means you’re able to accept yourself for you, or anyone else for who they are as a person. It means you’re willing to do almost anything for yourself to better yourself or for that other person. It means 50/50 or working together until you reach that point, I have love for those who inspired me to push forward, and I have love for the homeless because my heart is pure If I show up at your event, I have love for you, with nothing but the biggest smile.
