A Pair Of Shoes Called “LIFE”

Daily writing prompt
Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

My favorite pair of shoes may sound different to many. We take different steps in different directions each day, so I guess we can all assume where this is leading. Those shoes you never take off, as a parent, as an older sibling, these are things you have been called on to do, you have people depending on you, but you wouldn’t have that experience, and all the other great experiences if it wasn’t for the most high giving you a brand of shoes called “Life”. I guess we figured out that my favorite pair of shoes is “Life,” because it’s very valuable, not everyone was given a chance to experience the things we do on a daily.

As for myself, living with a neurological disability such as epilepsy can disable you at any time. There have been times when my nerves have locked, and I had to go through therapy to unloosen my hands to be able to grip things. Things could have been worse. I’m thankful for the trials and tribulations that have come my way, it happened for a reason, and it showed me that I can still be strong, independent, and successful. If I never went through anything in life, I wouldn’t know what to expect, or look for in people, and in life in general, I’d probably be lost. But because of those break-ups, closed doors, and injuries, I am able to say “I did it,” with a smile because I continued to push for the positive. If you don’t understand me, you’ll never understand why I started my business in the first place. I’m thankful for the open heart that I have because I know who to love closely, and who to love from a distance. Once you go through things, you GROW through it, whether it be positive or negative. This is where your shoe size changes through life as you grow, but the brand never changes. I appreciate all my supporters and those who never go unnoticed, it’s because of you that I get to say “I did it”.
