Smuddy Woo has always had his hand in every pot of success. These pots were pots he created himself and saw potential in others to win along with him. He’s always been ambitious, you can’t even call for a simple question without hearing some form of work in the background, which is what inspires others the most. It’s like “Damn, do you ever stop?” And then you look up and something else is in the works. Growing up in Adelphi, Jamaica was Smuddy’s way of learning how it felt to really come from the trenches. He saw things that made him more aware of how to protect himself mentally, and physically. These events led to spitting it all out through music. Born in May, May is just the month of more successful moments, it’s his ambition month to give you something else that you didn’t expect. From Plainfield, NJ to Elizabeth, NJ, and all around Smuddy has been all over with Fast Lane Deliveries which started in May of 2020, that was just the beginning of “I can do it,” as a manager/CEO of his own company, that led him to understand that his plate can be full, but it was his goal to eat anyway.
Smuddy has been an Artist since 2017 when he released songs of his own, and then slowly began to gravitate people toward the label Twenty420seven which he created in May of 2022. He began looking for young artists as an inspiration for them to continue believing in themselves as he was the force behind the wind. He discovered talent within his family and offered those a seat at his table to expand in many different ways, many of whom have taken off with singles and albums of their own. Twenty420seven consists of 17 people who aren’t all the same branch in the industry which is the best part of the label. He has models, podcasters, dancers, and artists. Smuddy chooses not to be called an Artist because of the many talents he has. He can go from a manager to a Rapper real quick, and then a comedian. What I love the most about Twenty420seven is that usually, people tend to have just one group of people doing the same thing, instead of many branches in different areas. Major artists in the works are Smuddy, Yung Savv, Semi, L4M, and Lay Bandz, just to name a few. Smuddy and management give each of the talented artists the option to branch off unless it involves label activity, he doesn’t hover over them explaining what they need to do because he wants to see the best in everybody. There is always an open spot for someone or someone to become better. In the process of allowing them to branch off, he has also done some performances of his own such as performing at “The Long Sunday,” “Allstars,” and even “Who Want Smoke?” of which his next performance will be June 30th. Smuddy doesn’t just show his own team love, he has also networked with many artists and labels such as BossladyEnt ran by Mo’nique in which they attend each other’s events, with bigger plans for one another.

In the process of starting a delivery company, and a label, Smuddy took it further to start his own merchandise. His name will forever be heard Twenty420seven, and with his merchandise, he will ensure that.

Wearing your own merchandise is a huge accomplishment, it feels great to know you started something, as well as being recognized in many places by the music he has created, his artist, and even his podcast t4t7podcast, in which he brings awareness to just more than music. Speaking of which, t4t7podcast is a different podcast. It broadcasts talent in a funny way and just simple conversations that will really make you want to return for more. You’d probably even go visit the talented person they were with, in hopes that t4t7podcast would be there, or come back. Watching one episode made me realize that networking can be done in many different ways, and this is one of the funniest ways to do so. I won’t give you too much, because a special guest will be appearing soon, and that’s for you to go check out!

Smuddy has done it again! He can’t sit still and has released his music video to “Forever” via YouTube. Aside from knowing Smuddy personally, I was able to feel his music, who he was, and why he does it. Forever was so real and neutral in so many ways. It was a form of determination, as well as today’s generation of rap where anything makes you nod your head, except you felt this in your chest. Smuddy said “Imma stay on top forever,” and “I want this sh*t forever,” which clearly read that he isn’t going to stop no matter what trials and tribulations are thrown his way. He didn’t hide his personality, or portray to be someone he isn’t, he kept it real FOREVER. It’s forever #freelaybandz , a #certified FACTO.
