What Brings Me Joy?

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

You never know the true meaning of joy, because everyone has a different feeling. Joy doesn’t just come with a smile, joy doesn’t just come with pain, but joy also comes with family. “Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can’t have a rainbow, without a little rain”. With that being said, there are a lot of habits that bring me joy each day. Waking up each morning with a disability, knowing that I still have to be an adult even when I may need assistance in some areas, but can still do it, brings me joy. It’s a sign of independence, a sign of motivation, it allows me to know that I can do it, and that’s part of what keeps me pushing. You see my joy out of that is people doubted me, they doubted the fact that I’ll be here today, and they doubted my abilities, look at me now.

I don’t always need to explain my story because you all know me well, but when I started Literaturebyjessc, I started with the ambition to change someone else’s life. That’s what brings me joy, knowing that I made a change in someone else’s life besides mine, knowing I’m the reason for a positive change, and knowing that someone trusted me enough to help them with their change. these changes range from a simple hairstyle to a change in living style, a change in belief and direction. It makes me happy to know that I have left a mark on someone, a positive mark. People think that in order to be happy, happiness starts within yourself, and that’s not always the case. Sometimes you need a little push, and that little push is everyone else’s happiness. People always say to focus on yourself, because nobody will have YOU like YOU got you, but it is also said that “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” This doesn’t always have to be money, this doesn’t always have to be clothes, sometimes it’s a simple hug that helps the most.

I’ve claimed my purpose here is to help people. When I say help, I don’t mean be captain save a ho* to any and everyone, I mean be of assistance in any way. A smile goes a long way, and a share of a post goes a long way, whether it be to support a business or find a missing child. These are the things that we don’t think about often in general. Some of these things bring others joy, and that’s what Literaturebyjessc is based on a positive movement. So, knowing some of you are watching, and looking up to the things I do makes me absolutely happy.
