If I followed every lead around me, I’d be living the dream of someone else. Making the mistakes and same mistakes that others have made. I choose to lead in everything I do with a neutral and positive force because in the end whatever the outcome is, is my lesson or blessing. I follow what’s meant for me to follow, that gut feeling that says don’t do it, but we sometimes risk it anyway, that feeling of “true love,” and the path of Christ.
In my eyes, many couples do many things together but take a look at this. How often do you pray? Whether it be on your own, with your partner, or with family. I take being a leader in many different ways. Praying with my partner was an idea of mine that turned into every night, it led us both to stay on the same path and know that we both are not alone during our journey. I led myself into believing that I could do just about anything as I was told that due to my disability, I would barely make it in life because I couldn’t work. I found other ways of work after proving those wrong and becoming a teacher, I started to take my blogging a bit more seriously and ended up going viral in magazines like Bold Journey, CanvasRebel, and Voyage Baltimore. See if I would’ve believed in or followed those stereotypes thrown at me, I’d probably be in a state of depression still believing that I can’t do anything because of a disability that hit at age 19. Instead, I led my own path. I only followed in one way, which was listening to my friend when he stated that I have a part in the industry which was a major role, and can also help change the lives of others. I then took that motivation, and here I am today. I led my best friend here to this website, set it up for him, and this is where he tells his stories. It has been a proven fact that he has helped many in their journey of life. You never know how you can inspire someone to do something great, which he was nervous about, but if I can do it, so can you. I live by that motto, I guess you understand that I am more than just a leader, I AM ME (an Angel Of Epilepsy).
