In today’s generation, they focus on the wrong things thinking that you have to have the newest clothing, or accessories that come out in order to continue living through life without being made fun of. We take life for granted each day by not noticing that we don’t need anyone, it’s just nice to have someone around to do the things you want to. Priorities are always first and we sometimes loose ourselves within that matter. The most important thing you need in your life is yourself. You will push yourself, you will win, no matter what your case is. Before every rainbow, there is always some form of rain.
Confidence and great communication are the most important things needed to get by in life in general. If you don’t believe within yourself, how can someone else do the same? The more you use the word “can’t,” or say “I can’t,” the more you believe it. As a teacher, I believe I mentioned this before, but I always made sure that my children knew you would fail at something a few times before you actually succeed. There’s no need to give up because someone did something better than you, you keep trying, your’s may not be the same, it could be better. Ofcourse, I didn’t enforce that fully into their heads, but I definitely made sure they knew that they could do anything they put their minds to, and that goes for adults as well. Having great communication is key to success, everyone wants to see you fail so you’ll have some who down talk you and try to convince you not to do something you want to, or that you can’t. Guess what? You can. That’s coming from a legally disabled person who now owns their own website, an LLC, makes music, attends events, taught preschoolers, graduated with an associates degree, and is working on bachelor’s. I always enforce the fact that I am disabled, because there is always someone new watching that I may inspire, and that’s also daily motivation to get up and do what you’re telling yourself you can’t do, or what others are saying you can’t, because I proved many wrong, and I’m telling you that you can do it. Kill people with the act of kindness, never argue with someone because eventually you’ll regret some of the things said, so tuck it under your foot and keep on steppin’.
Another key to life is patience. People can be so rude, whether in stores, internet, even colleges. I have anxiety, and maybe I need to take my own advice here with having patience because getting frustrated gets you no where but taking it out on the wrong people. Sometimes those people can be the people you need the most. Sorry can’t fix everything, if you go off on your boss, and then say sorry, do you think they will be honestly accepting of your apology? You have to be very careful with communication and patience in general. Sometimes, you get to say good-bye before saying sorry, and that’s the main thing that hurts one the most. Pay attention to the people around you now who can sometimes seem a little hard on you, a certain type of pressure applied behind your back shows that person truly cares for you, and wants what’s best for you. You don’t see that around too often anymore, so those moments for myself I cherish because I can be a slouch, I can be argumentative over something that I may be wrong about, and yes I’ve lost friends behind my mindset but we live and we learn. That’s why I’m here to share my story so that you don’t make the same mistakes I made.
