When I was younger I used to always say “I can’t wait until I get older,” until older came. If I could turn back the hands of time, I surely would. I’d do it all over again just to fully take in everything I’ve experienced to turn every negative and positive right, and into a great lesson for the older me. Listen as a child, teen, what have you, enjoy life of not having to worry about nothing but getting homework done, your chores, and simply being a kid. Once you get older there is no turning back.
Each year of life brings in a new trial or tribulation. From a baby, you’re learning to walk and talk, to being a teen dealing with hormones/menstruation, and then boom you’re in college. It all happens so fast. The life I’ve lived so far has taught me so much. It’s taught me pain, it’s taught me love, it also taught me there is more to life than just existing. I had to stop existing and start living, and that’s one thing that has always been an on and off thing for me through out life. I just learned to always live in survival mode and thinking ahead all of the time, which I should stop doing and allow God to take control. Yet, with everything rising these days, and one day life is amazing, and then it takes an unexpected turn. I love being prepared, that’s another thing life taught me, to trust my instincts, and always be prepared.
If you are a child, teen, what have you, enjoy life now, because adulting isn’t about living as freely as you thought. Life costs, and it sure is expensive. Make sure you are surrounded by the right crew, people who want to add to your success, elevate with you, or simply supporting you in the best way they can and vice versa. It gets a little easier when you have someone to lean on whether it be a friend, family member, or partner who is always there.
