So as I use these social medias to “connect” with friends and family, I see otherwise. I believe that families would be a lot closer with out social media and being able to be in everybody else’s business besides their own. What happened to letters and phone calls? And sending pictures via mail. You worry of someone stealing/opening your mail, where as on the internet, people can download and save. I was at a party recently that made me think this way. For promo of upcoming events, people passed out flyers. I mean of course it was advertised via social media as well, but before social media, this was a major form of communication.
Lack of communication is one of the main causes of disconnection amongst one another. Social media has not only allowed us to advertise ourself as human beings, but it has also allowed us to promote each other’s faults to the world when wrong. Why do we do such a thing instead of confronting one another? What is there to prove? As you go through life there will be plenty of people who don’t like you or your actions, what can you do? Beat a b*tch a** who still gon’ talk even after. I remember actually using Facebook to talk to family of whom I haven’t seen in a while, and now it’s “what’s the wave?”.
