Alienated, swallow, thread.
She kept him alienated from her heart when she couldn’t swallow his pride and claim what was his.
She never asked him for anything, no money, nor to be his kid.
It may not have been the best for her mom when he wasn’t around, because she was the only one holding her down.
Too young to understand, but not too young to remember how her sister was given the world, compared to her garbage bag in December.
Using those three words I was able to create a poem. What people fail to realize about writing in general is that there are more than one meaning to one word, you can interpret it differently, and that’s what makes poetry so amazing, so deep.
