SmrtGrlz Are Killin’ It!

Hi guys, I’m back with a DOPE chat about last weekend’s adventure. On the day of October 8th, 2023, Smrtgrlz was a vendor at the Randolph Country Fair in New Jersey. Due to rain, and rescheduling, I finally was able to let my joy out by being in attendance, and a helping hand. My, how happy I was! Okay, to be honest, I was walking around for a bit because I was lost, however, when I approached, I automatically felt so much like family, so proud, and truly engaged. I wanted to know everything! Check this out!

Nalla and Anna Olivia

I was constantly awaiting a Smrtgrlz event so that I could be a part of the SmrtgrlzClub! It’s simply because I not only believe in the youth, but we stand for the same thing; positivity, women empowerment, and a great “You can do it,” attitude! Their variety of jewelry comes with an affirmation to really sit back and appreciate whatever it is you’re going through, especially from a business of these six and eleven-year-old young entrepreneurs. See here’s the thing, when you really support someone, sharing a post goes a long way, and so does being in attendance, you never know what you mean to someone. I was so fascinated with the intelligence, and how outgoing Nalla was. We literally gravitated towards each other, and you can just tell how deeply she’s engaged and involved. I picked out a few cute pieces, and they all meant something.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

So I picked this lovely bracelet out paying attention to the inspiring quote at first, until I noticed it was actually a breast cancer awareness bracelet. The visual of women supporting women, I love it, and when it’s coming from a child, you can’t turn it down. Although there were sets of bracelets, necklaces, and shirts, they each came with a different quote to keep you pushing. The reason I gravitated towards this quote so badly is that a great friend of mine, 93rd has a very close family member who has overcome breast cancer, and that family member will tell you with the brightest smile, “All thanks to most high!” One of her favorite things to say is “Whatever it is, you can, and you will.” With that being said such a beautiful gift like that from the youth is amazing.

Next, I wanted my bracelet. I was too happy to wear it, so we put it on right there. Let me tell you, all SmrtGrlz and one of my favorite SmrtDad’s were helping me with this bracelet. It wasn’t that I couldn’t understand it, it was a certain way to wear it and tighten it up. Obviously, we figured that out because we were pounding it up!

We Stand With, By, And For Our Oath.

I’m taking my time getting to all the good parts because this isn’t something you zoom right through! Purple is my COLOR! Purple also stands for Epilepsy Awareness, which I stand for. With that being said, it was a beautiful heart necklace attached to a purple lace that they had handcrafted. These pieces were so beautiful that you wouldn’t think they were the price that they were. Now Mike V, A SmrtDad and so much more, always gives great business advice. Even some tips I could use along my journey. “You don’t find too many who actually love and support what you’re doing right off the back, it’s about presentation.”

Before taking my oath, I came with the initiative to donate as well, but I wanted to make it special. As a SmrtGrl, we promised to uplift and empower others. Just so happened, that as my order was being beautifully boxed and wrapped as if it had come from Pandora, I felt something in me. That something came out with a burst of energy and announced “I want you to buy the next two people something using the rest of the change from my order.” What’s amazing is it got done right then and there. We noticed a little girl who wanted but didn’t know how to ask. So, as the SmrtGrlzClub, we did it together.

BOOM 💥 She Got Her Jewelry & Muy Felíz 🩷

We sent her home with some coloring pages with the SmrtGrlz webpage and email attached in case she wanted to see us again, more activities, a copy of the oath, and a signed certificate from Anna Olivia, and Nalla. For young entrepreneurs, that’s a great setup! The look on her mother’s face read “I really want to hug you,” seeing her daughter a part of the whole setup was amazing, I’m sure she had a story to tell, and we’re happy to be a part of it! 💚

I took my oath ya’ll, I finally did it. I lived up to these standards all my life so why not support others who believe in the same. It’s always the older generation leading the youth, but here I felt like I was being led by the youth if it makes any sense. Clearly, I was excited to be a SmrtGrl. As a retired preschool teacher, I never get tired of my inner child. So I woke up this morning doing our crossword puzzle given to me in the back. The first word I found was Ambitious. Yes, that is us!
