Is Chaos Good For Us?

Daily writing prompt
Is a little chaos actually good for us?

Without chaos what would life be? Chaos taught me to appreciate every moment of life for many different reasons. Chaos doesn’t just mean danger, it also means being overstimulated, handling personal life, and not being able to categorize your thoughts, for starters. I am a firm believer in zodiac signs, as I stand as a gemini. We tend to read rooms, and seclude ourselves where we do not fit, we are very talkative, and overthink. The chaos comes in for me at the overthinking part, it’s not that I can’t handle it, it’s the fact that I’m always planning a step ahead. Overthinking is both a positive and a negative thing, because when one thing goes wrong, I’m already ahead with the solution I had already planned. Now in a negative part, it can sometimes hinder great experiences, and open doors. I. say this because I overthink of things I’ve been through or just by reading a person, or situation. Now let’s hypothetically speak here, let’s just say as a kid, I had a bad experience in the amusement park, and now at 30, with children due to that experience, I no longer want to attend an amusement park. I am hindering my own family from experiencing things that may not happen. Just because it happened to me, doesn’t mean it will happen to them.

Chaos also teaches us how to handle situations that we’ve been through as a child and watched our familes go through as adults. For example, as a child we may have saw violence while playing and not know how to handle that. As an adult we now understand that these things happen regularly in life such as racism. We teach our youth how to handle those things as there are ways around it. There are ways to take that chaos and turn it into a positive mindset. As a child we would be hurt about those things, whereas adults, we live and we learn. We understand that those things are beyond our control, it’s just how we choose to handle it our way. Chaos means things all over the place, handling things without help, raising children. These are things we’ve watched our parents go through, and the way that they’ve handled it either taught us how to handle it, or how to be better. This, I experience everyday with raising children and managing finances, and everything that comes along with it. It may be hard but it shapes us into who we are today. Chaos is exactly how I became literaturebyjessc, and I wouldn’t trade any step for anything in the world because it not only made me a better me, but allowed me to help others. Stay tuned for more.
